Publishing Your Changes

When you make changes within the RightMessage app, those changes don’t go live immediately. Instead, when you’re ready for the work you’ve been doing to be “pushed” to your website, simply click the “Publish to website” button at the top left of every page.

In this guide, we’ll explain everything you need to know about publishing, testing, and troubleshooting.

When visitors go to your website…

Assuming your script is successfully added to your website, visitors will load your custom tracking script.

This script includes your integration, segmentation, personalization, and Flow details.

Whatever your RightMessage account looked like when you last published, that’s what visitors will continue to get served until you publish your changes.

What happens when you click “Publish to website”?

Our server will compile down a compressed and highly optimized new custom script for you, and upload it to Amazon AWS / Cloudfront.

Within a minute or two of publishing, all visitors will then be served your latest script.

For more information about how your custom tracking script is set up, check out this in-depth guide.
